Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 08 Sep 2026
This policy explains how cancellation and refund requests are handled for customized digital image editing services. Because the work is performed on client-supplied files and may begin soon after a project is accepted, eligibility depends on the stage of work and the circumstances of the request.
This policy should be read together with the accepted project scope and the Terms of Service.
1. Before Work Begins
If a client requests cancellation before substantive editing begins, the request can be reviewed based on any payment already made, reserved production time, file-review work already completed, and nonrecoverable processing costs.
Where no work has begun and no nonrecoverable cost has been incurred, a greater portion of a payment may be eligible for refund, subject to the confirmed project terms and applicable law.
2. After Editing Has Begun
Once substantive editing has begun, charges may apply for work already performed and time already allocated to the project. Customized editing work is not the same as an unused physical product that can simply be returned to inventory.
A cancellation after work begins may therefore result in a partial refund, no refund, or an adjusted project balance depending on the amount of work completed and the applicable project terms.
3. Completed and Delivered Work
After agreed digital files have been completed and delivered, payments attributable to the completed custom work are generally not refundable merely because the client changes preferences or decides not to use the files.
If delivered work materially fails to match the confirmed instructions, the first remedy may be a reasonable correction or revision where appropriate rather than an automatic refund.
4. Scope Changes
A request for a different creative direction, additional images, new background treatments, new output specifications, or other requirements outside the confirmed scope is not treated as a cancellation or defect. Additional work may require a revised quote or separate charge.
5. Technical Limitations
Refunds are not automatically due when a requested result is limited by source-image quality, missing detail, extreme compression, insufficient resolution, or other technical conditions that could not reasonably be overcome through editing.
When a source limitation becomes clear during review, the client may be informed so that expectations, scope, or deliverables can be adjusted.
6. Missed Client Responses
If a project is delayed because required instructions, approvals, files, or responses are not provided by the client, the delay does not by itself create refund eligibility. A long period of inactivity may require rescheduling or a new delivery estimate.
7. Rush or Reserved Time
If a project includes accepted rush scheduling or specifically reserved production time, those charges may be nonrefundable to the extent the time was held or work was prioritized, subject to applicable law and the project terms.
8. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments
A verified duplicate payment or clear payment-processing error can be reviewed and corrected. The client should provide enough transaction information to identify the payment without sending unnecessary sensitive financial information.
9. How to Request a Review
A cancellation or refund request should identify the project, the reason for the request, the stage of work as understood by the client, and the specific amount or remedy being requested. Supporting details help the request be reviewed efficiently.
10. Refund Method and Timing
If a refund is approved, it will generally be returned using an available method consistent with the original transaction or another lawful method agreed for the situation. Processing time can vary based on payment-provider procedures and financial-network timing.
11. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived. If applicable consumer-protection law requires a different result, the legally required protection controls.
12. Policy Updates
This policy may be revised as service practices, payment methods, or legal requirements change. The stated update date identifies this version.
