Veyqen Imaging
Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
Last updated: 08 Sep 2026
This policy explains intellectual-property responsibilities for client-supplied images, edited deliverables, website materials, and other content used in connection with Veyqen Imaging services.
Clients should submit only materials they own or are authorized to provide for editing.
1. Client Ownership of Source Images
Submitting an image for editing does not transfer ownership of the client's source image to Veyqen Imaging. The client retains whatever rights the client lawfully holds in the source content, subject to any third-party rights or license terms that already apply.
2. Limited Processing Permission
For the purpose of evaluating and performing requested services, the client grants a limited permission to access, copy, modify, process, temporarily store, export, and deliver the submitted files as reasonably necessary for the project.
This limited permission is for service performance and related operational needs. It is not a general transfer of copyright ownership.
3. Client Representations
The client represents that the client owns the submitted material or has sufficient rights, licenses, permissions, releases, and authority to submit it for the requested editing. This responsibility can include permissions relating to copyrighted photographs, artwork, trademarks, product packaging, models, private property, confidential materials, or other protected content.
4. Third-Party Licensed Materials
If a client supplies stock images, fonts, templates, logos, software-generated assets, or other licensed materials, the client remains responsible for complying with the applicable license. Editing a licensed asset does not expand the rights granted by its original license.
5. Edited Deliverables
The rights that apply to an edited deliverable depend on the rights in the underlying source material and any separately created elements. The service does not give a client rights in third-party material that the client did not already have authority to use.
Where the service consists only of modifications to client-owned images, the edited output is delivered for the client's authorized use in connection with the underlying content.
6. Website Materials
Original website text, layouts, graphic treatments, brand elements, and other site materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other laws. Visitors may view the site for ordinary use but may not reproduce substantial site content for competing commercial use without authorization.
7. Brand Names and Marks
Names, logos, and other identifiers displayed on the website may function as trademarks or brand assets. No trademark license is granted merely by using the website or purchasing editing services.
8. Portfolio Use
Client work is not automatically licensed for public portfolio or marketing use merely because it was submitted for editing. Public use of identifiable client material should be based on separate permission or another lawful basis.
9. Copyright Complaints
A person who believes website content or project material infringes their copyright should provide enough information to identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material, the location or project concerned, their contact information, and the basis for the claim.
False or misleading infringement notices may have legal consequences. A complaint should be made in good faith.
10. Removal or Suspension
Content or work may be removed, suspended, or declined when a credible intellectual-property concern is identified. Additional documentation may be requested before work continues.
11. No Rights Clearance Service
Veyqen Imaging is not a rights-clearance agency and does not independently verify every ownership, model release, property release, trademark license, or stock license associated with client content. Clients remain responsible for obtaining the rights required for their intended use.
12. Policy Updates
This policy may be revised to reflect changes in services, content practices, or legal requirements. The stated update date identifies this version.
